The Vancouver Canucks, hockey team to Vancouver, British Columbia, unveiled it’s new home and away uniforms today. Keeping the trade-mark Orca, the jersey has remixed the colors as well as adding a green stripe for both the home and away uniforms. This is the 5th jersey the team has gone through since 1970 when the team was founded.

The redesign has been met with some criticisms. John Carter a graphics arts instructor at a local college was quoted as calling the redesign an “utter disappointment.”

The design uses the same core colors in the original design, and on the back it also has their original jersey’s hockey stick symbol. The president and CEO of the Canucks, Chris Zimmerman, recognizes this saying, “Our goal when we set out was to celebrate our heritage and to design a sweater that reflects our extraordinary city and province. “We wanted to unveil a sweater that reflects our past and our future.” Zimmerman also went on to say the design represents, “who we are and the connection to the community.”

The international event is to attract over 2000 companies from 45 countries and about 90,000 visitors.

At present day the luxury goods business holds quite strong positions in the world industry and is still developing at high rates due to appropriate economic climate. Thus, BaselWorld is perceived by watch and jewelry producers and their partners as favorable new grounds for their further development.

BaselWorld is organized annually by MCH Swiss Exhibition (Basel) Ltd with a purpose to provide new business opportunities for the participants who are expected to exhibit their latest products in the exhibition area of about 160,000 m2. Visitors come to BaselWorld to keep aware of the current trends of watch and jewelry making, while retailers and wholesalers discover new partners and strengthen their links with well-established ones.

The exhibition is divided into product sectors presented in the six exhibition halls, among them there are the Hall of Universe and the Hall of Elements. This year the management of the Show has taken care of updating and redecorating the design of the halls.

All the participants of the event will be able to expand their business contacts beyond the fair in the BaselWorld Village located nearby. The ‘village’ comprises special facilities for partners to discuss their matters in informal atmosphere.

Tips For Successful Mass Email Marketing Programs

Bulk email selling, which is often referred to as mass email marketing, is an essential part of most business marketing campaigns today. However, the very practice itself can create issues if your marketing emails are ending up tagged as spam or junk mail and not reaching your target audience.

By using specific formulas or strategies with your mass email marketing you can prevent a lot of the issues that are so common with bulk email programs. With today’s top bulk email service companies you can even create personalized marketing strategies by grouping contacts that will keep your emails relevant to each reader whether you have two hundred customers or a million.

Get to Know Your Contacts

Using those cold call contact lists that are sold online are not only not a good return on your investment but they can trigger problems with your mass email marketing ending up tagged as junk mail by major email servers.

Instead, use a system that allows you to learn more about the very people that you market to. This includes having the ability to import your contacts, and the information that you already collected about them, into your mass email marketing program. From here you can add surveys, questionnaires and subscriptions to your emails to continue to build that connection.

Make Emails Relevant

While this may seem obvious, the fewer hard sell techniques you use in your mass email marketing and the more relevant and timely information you provide you contacts the more that your email will be opened, read and passed on. This can include adding a range of content from videos to RSS feeds and, of course, a shopping cart for purchases right from your email.

The days of simply sending an e-blast with information about a sale, product or service are no longer here. Today’s consumer and contact isn’t going to waste time looking at prices alone as they can do that from any device that they want when they need that information.

The use of mass email marketing is important and essential for many businesses. Keeping up to date with what consumers expect, including professional looking emails and newsletters, will help you maximize your companies exposure and customer base through well designed and professional looking informative campaigns.
