The Filtration And Temperature Control Processes In A Central Air Conditioning System

Submitted by: Adrianna Notton

The two most important processes a central air conditioning system carries out are filtration and temperature regulation. These two processes are facilitated by ducts, temperature controls, filtration system and the control panel. Air moves from one room to another and from part of the device to another part of the device through air ducts.

A central HVAC system is normally placed outside a building. A special house will be constructed to house such a system or alternatively it can be housed at a rooftop. The main reason why such a system cannot be housed inside a building is because it produces a lot of noise.

The duty of installing any major electrical system in a building is the duty of the owner of the building. However, the duty of maintaining the installed system is the duty of tenants. A tenant will be willing to contribute towards the maintenance costs if he benefits from the installed system. The building owner will determine how much each tenant will contribute towards maintenance costs. Tenants who occupy big rooms will contribute more than the ones who occupy small rooms.

Temperature regulation is the main duty of a HVAC system. When the temperature is very high, such a system will facilitate temperature reduction. On the other hand, when the temperature is very low, the temperature needs to be moderated.

There are temperature controls that are used to moderate temperatures. In some buildings, such controls are located in every room. However, in other buildings temperature controls are located only in the room where the central unit is hosted. In such a case, all rooms will have the same temperature at a particular moment in time. However, when each room has separate controls, the temperatures of different rooms will be different.

Filtration process is also an important process. All air conditioners are designed to filter out pollutants from the atmosphere. Common pollutants are dust, carbon dioxide emission, smoke and microscopic elements. Some of these pollutants cause allergies. When they are removed, people who have allergies will stay comfortably in a building. Ducts will transport all pollutants to the outside environment. Each system has different types of ducts. Most ducts are one way. Ducts are very useful during filtration process and temperature regulation process. The filtering ability of a system should be one of the factors to be considered during the shopping process. The system that has good filtration ability should be opted for.

The buttons for switching on and switching off a HVAC system are on the control panel. In case there is a fire in any room, the system must be turned off immediately. Control panel also has buttons that control voltage and energy consumption. Some electrical devices will immediately switch to power saving mode when there are not being used actively. However, some have to be manually switched to power saving mode.

A central air conditioning system carries out filtration and regulation of temperatures. Temperature controls are used to moderate temperatures. On the other hand, filters remove impurities from the atmosphere.
